Verifying sustainability qualifications

The Verify feature in the sustainability report gives buyers the opportunity to verify their suppliers' sustainability qualifications. Buyers can verify each supplier qualification listed in the Qualified and Potential tabs of the Spend Details section within the Sustainability Certifications Spend Report.

The Spend Details section is divided into three tabs: Qualified, Potential, and Disqualified. You can verify your suppliers' qualifications from within the Qualified or the Potential tabs. When you disqualify a qualification, that qualification will be moved to the Disqualified tab.

Suppliers and their certifications may be listed as Qualified or Potential based on their qualifications as well as the buyer’s qualification rules.

Qualifications that are identified by our system as Qualified are listed with a green checkmark beside the certification agency in the Authority column.

Qualifications that are identified as Potential are listed with an amber question mark beside the certification agency in the Authority column.

To verify your suppliers' qualifications:

1. From your Buyer portal, navigate to Insight and click on the Sustainability Report tab.

2. Go to the Sustainability Spend Report page.

3. Scroll down the Spend Details section.

4. Navigate to the Potential tab to verify your potential spend or Qualified to verify your qualified suppliers.

5. Click on Can you verify this? under the Verified column next to the qualification you wish to verify.
   

6. Choose Yes, it is. in the verification window to verify that the supplier is indeed qualified for the specific certification.
   Choose No, it isn’t. to disqualify the company and remove the spend from your spend reports.
   
   

7. Click OK.

Product-level certifications

Some of our certification sources provide product-level certifications. Suppliers' certifications from these agencies are listed as Potential to avoid inaccuracies in your sustainability spend reports. If you wish to verify that the products that you purchased from suppliers whose qualifications are at the product level, first visit the agency’s website to check if your purchased product from the specific supplier is listed in the agency’s certified products.

Once you’ve checked if your product is certified by the agency, verify the qualification as outlined above.
