Functionalities within the TealBook supplier data platform are available in three different user portals: Buyer, Supplier, and Admin. Each of the user portals allow users to see and experience TealBook features and functionalities from different perspectives.
Buyers are the customers. These are the users who are on TealBook to search for and connect with suppliers. Functionalities and features within the Buyer portal includes the ability to search for products and services, send RFIs, view spend reports, and get insight on suppliers' qualifications.
To go to the Buyer portal, click on the portal selector menu next to the TealBook logo on the left of the header.
The default page when you open the Buyer portal is the Supplier's page. The navigation bar on the header displays the menu of pages where buyers can navigate to.
Suppliers
The Supplier discovery page is where buyers can search for and discover suppliers. Type keywords on the supplier search bar to begin your search for suppliers. You may also click the Advanced search button to add additional parameters to your search.
The sidebar also offers additional filters and options that you may apply to your supplier discovery.
The Supplier Discovery page includes the following features:
- My List - Allows a user to select suppliers and add to a custom list. This list can then be used to search for similar suppliers, add to an existing community, save as a personal relationship, or submit to an RFI. Saving as a personal relationship will add a tag to the supplier that is only visible to you.
- Advanced Filters - Allows the user to filter search results based on a number of criteria including location or personal relationship tags.
- Export - Exports all suppliers currently listed on the supplier discovery page based on the filters set. Note: users can only export up to 100 supplier records at one time.
RFI
The RFI page allows buyers to send requests for information to a selected list of buyers. This page has two tabs: My RFI and All RFIs. These tabs track all RFIs and shows the status of any RFIs that you've created as well as the number of suppliers included in them.
Insight
The Insight page is where all your reports are located. This is where you'll see reports about your company's activities, your spend reports including diversity and sustainability, as well as your communications with your Suppliers.
The Insight tab include the following pages:
- General – displays key metrics about your organizations activities on TealBook as well as information on your supplier network.
- Consolidation – reports supplier records and insights based on supplier data that you've loaded to TealBook
- Spend – provides reports of your spend which can be modified based on time period and various filters.
- Diversity Report – provides reports of your diverse spend.
- Tier 2 Diversity – provides insight into your Tier 2 diverse spend—your supplier's diverse spend that have been allocated to you by your suppliers.
- Saved Reports – lists reports that you have saved.
- Supplier Outreach – shows your communications with your suppliers including your invitations to provide for Tier 2 Diversity information and to complete the sustainability survey.
- Sustainability Report – shows reports of your sustainable spend as well as results of your supplier's participation and answers to the sustainability survey.
News
The News page is where you can post news articles about your organization and read articles posted by your colleagues and your suppliers.
Communities
Communities provides a platform for buyers and suppliers to communicate about specific topics.
Icons
There are three additional icons on the navigation bar beside your profile photo that provides added functionalities. These icons are accessible from all the user portals.
- Contacts – allows you to manage your contacts including searching for and connecting with new contacts.
- Messaging – allows you to chat with other TealBook users on your contacts list.
- Knowledge Base – takes you here, to TealBook's Help Center.
The Buyer portal is your one one-stop shop to supplier discovery and communications. It provides you with the tools you need to gain a better understanding of your supply chain and the information you need to take necessary actions to stay on track with your goals and procurement strategies.
