TealBook's Tier 2 Diversity solution encourages strategic partnerships between buyers and suppliers in their efforts to boost supplier diversity programs by examining the suppliers' diversity spend and enabling suppliers to allocate percentages of their diverse spend to their buyers.
If you've received an invitation to Tier 2 Diversity reporting, start by accepting your customer's invitation then, add your spend data by either uploading a spend file or entering your aggregate spend amounts per quarter.
When you're confident with your supplier mapping, you may publish your spend data. Publishing your spend does not share your spend information with anyone. It simply generates data for Your Diverse Spend tab as well as the Share tab where you can allocate portions of your diverse spend to your buyers.
To start allocating your Tier 2 diverse spend amounts and sharing them to your buyers:
-
Navigate to the Share tab and scroll to the box labeled with the buyer whom you'd like to allocated diverse spend to.
-
Locate the year and quarter that you’d like to allocate the spend for.
-
Enter the percentage amount of spend that you’d like to allocate to the buyer in the percentage field next to the % sign. This amount must be between 0 and 100.
-
Click the Share button.
You'll be shown a preview of the data that you're sharing to your buyer when you click the Share button. You may simply close the popup window when you're finished reviewing the data.
Editing an allocation
After you've shared spend allocation with a buyer, the Share button will become an Edit button. If you would like to edit the amounts allocated to a customer, simply click the Edit button, change the percentage amount in the percent field, and click Update.
Indirect spend allocation limit
The total percentage of Indirect spend allocated to across all buyers within one quarter cannot exceed 100%. You may publish one full spend file or enter one set of aggregate indirect spend amounts per quarter, link the spend to multiple buyers, and allocate unused amounts from the published spend data to other buyers.
Percentages of Indirect spend that may be allocated to buyers can be calculated by dividing your total revenue for the quarter and the revenue generated from the buyer for the same quarter.
Your data privacy
When you allocate and share your spend with a buyer, that buyer will see a summary of your allocation including your company name, the diversity categories, and the amount you’ve shared with them for each category. No other information is shared.
