Why participate in the sustainability survey

Five categories, thirty questions, and a deep dive into your supplier network’s environmental, social, and governance strategy. How do your suppliers tackle workplace safety? What strategies do they employ to reduce their environmental footprint? What steps are they taking towards becoming a diverse and inclusive workplace? By getting a better insight into your suppliers' policies, you gain a deeper understanding of how your procurement decisions impact your sustainability efforts. Your sustainability efforts can, in turn, attract clients and investors.

TealBook’s sustainability survey puts the power in the hands of both buyers and suppliers. As a buyer, when you invite your suppliers to complete the sustainability survey, you are giving them the opportunity to demonstrate how their corporate strategies contribute to your sustainability programs.

As a supplier, when you complete the sustainability survey you are driving sustainable procurement practices and making a significant contribution towards unlocking opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, and improved product quality. By demonstrating your commitment to sustainable procurement practices, you are providing your customers with valuable insight which can help position your organization as a valuable strategic partner. 

Your survey responses will also be visible to TealBook customers who use the platform to help drive their sustainability programs. This makes your organization discoverable and can create business opportunities for your organization.

The sustainability survey is divided into five sections:

• Health and Safety

• Environment

• Diversity and Inclusion

• Governance

• Privacy

Each question in the survey must be answered in order to move forward and submit the survey. If you answer No or Prefer not to answer in any of the survey questions, you will be asked to choose whether you:

• Do not do this at this time and do not plan to do this anytime soon.

• Do not do this at this time but plan to start doing this within a year.

• Other.

When you choose Other as an answer from the above options, you must provide a reason for choosing the response in the box provided.

If your response to any question is Yes, you have the opportunity to showcase your efforts. In some questions, you can upload documents exhibiting your organization’s commitment to sustainability. In others, you get to talk about your goals and projections towards a more sustainable future.

Once you've answered all the questions, read and confirm the attestations, click Submit Survey, and be one step closer to strategic business partnerships and sustainable procurement practices.
