Enriching SAP Ariba supplier data with TealBook

The partnership with SAP Ariba and TealBook empowers SAP Ariba users to make decisions that support their organization’s diversity programs. By leveraging TealBook’s supplier intelligence foundation, SAP Ariba users will have access to supplier diversity data that can be used drive strategic procurement programs.

Once the diversity information between your SAP Ariba account and TealBook are synced, you may start your supplier enrichment request. When a supplier list is sent to TealBook for enrichment, TealBook processes the file and returns suppliers who match supplier profiles within TealBook who are qualified in at least one diversity category.

Suppliers in the SAP Ariba export file that do not match with supplier profiles in TealBook or do not have diversity qualifications will be removed from the enriched file. 

Export supplier list from SAP Ariba

To start your supplier enrichment request, export your supplier list from SAP Ariba:

1. Navigate to the Data import or export window by going to the Manage dropdown menu and selecting SM Administration.
   

2. Under Import supplier-related data, select Suppliers from the File Type dropdown.
   

3. In the Import tab, click the Export button. This will initiate processing of your supplier list export file. If successful, the task initiation will be confirmed by a message on green banner on top of the page.  
   
   
   When the export file is ready, the file download link will appear next to the Export icon.

4. Click the .csv export file name next to the Export icon to download the file to your computer. This is the file that needs to be uploaded to TealBook to be enriched.
   

Note: If you would like to review your supplier list before uploading it to TealBook, open the .csv file by first opening MS Excel then using Excel's Import function to ensure that the data formats are not changed. 

Upload supplier list to TealBook

Once file export from SAP Ariba is complete, log in to TealBook to upload your supplier list export file.

1. In your TealBook account, click the user account selector on the top left corner next to the TealBook logo and choose the Admin portal.
   

2. In the SAP ARIBA tab, select Supplier List from the dropdown below the uploader.
   

3. Click Upload file.
   The successfully uploaded file will be displayed in the upload history table with a Processing status.

When your file is successfully uploaded, the TealBook team will begin the process of enriching your supplier list. This may take 2 to 3 business days. We will send you an email when the enrichment process is complete. 

Import enriched supplier list to SAP Ariba

When you receive the email confirmation to download your enriched supplier list, click the link in the email or log in to your TealBook Admin portal to download your enriched file. To complete the enrichment process, you'll need to import the enriched supplier list to your SAP Ariba Supplier Management portal.

1. Navigate to the SAP ARIBA tab within your TealBook Admin portal. 
   
2. Scroll down to the Upload history table and locate the enriched file.
3. Click the Download button.
   
4. Once you've downloaded the supplier list. Log in to your SAP Ariba account and navigate to the Data import or export window by going to the Manage dropdown menu and selecting SM Administration.
5. Under Import supplier-related data, select Suppliers from the File Type dropdown.
   
6. In the Import tab, click the Choose file button. 
   
7. In the import file browser window, locate and select the enriched supplier list .csv file. 
8. Click Upload.
   
   
   You can review the status of your uploaded file in the Import summary tab.
   

Once your the enriched supplier list has been successfully uploaded to your SAP Ariba account, you will have access to the diversity information that you requested enrichment for within SAP Ariba.
